This time 18 years ago a plan was in motion that ultimately led to the murder of thousands of innocent Americans.

This picture is a very symbolic one. It shows six firefighters on Ladder 118 coming over the Brooklyn Bridge for their last ride.

These men saw what was in front of them, knew what they were getting into, and they still went. They still went to try to save as many as they could.

All six gentleman on Ladder 118 died that day. This photo represents what the Fire Service is all about, the service and protection of others. ..

Well spoken words by a fellow brother. We will never forget.

On the 125th anniversary of Labor Day your Vacaville’s Firefighters hope you enjoy this holiday with your family and friends while remembering the reason why we celebrate.
Labor Day is a national holiday thanks to not only the social and economic achievements of American workers and the labor movement of the late 19th century but also to honor those that lost their lives as they fought for workers rights.
So many of the things you enjoy - sick leave, weekends, health benefits, child labor laws, safety standards, retirement and more- are a direct result of those workers and the battles they fought.

Your Vacaville Firefighters strive to get better every day! Today crews from A-72 and A-73 came together to practice forcible entry techniques. Forcible entry, or FE, is used by firefighters to gain entry to locked homes, businesses, wherehouses, etc during emergency situations such as a fire in order to save lives and property.
